Our Location
It’s pretty much paradise
We are located in the country so be aware that most restaurants and urban attractions will be 20-45 minutes away. The road getting to the property is partial pavement and partial gravel. Our gravel driveway is 1/2 mile long.
Our farm is just 17 minutes South of I-90 in Whitehall and about 20 minutes north of Twin Bridges. The rustic and unique Renova Hot Springs is only 6 miles away. We are conveniently located within 20 minutes of the historic Round Barn venue in Twin Bridges and 20 minutes from the Copper K Barn venue in Whitehall.
Our farm is set off the road by half a mile. The only thing you’ll see around you is the on-goings of farm life. Centrally located for those wishing to experience Yellowstone, Lewis and Clark Caverns, Historic Virginia City, Bannock Ghost Town, and Ennis, Bozeman, Butte, Helena, Twin Bridges, Sheridan, and Silver Star. We are blessed to have mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes, caves, animals, ski slopes, and natural hot springs just to name a few.
We are also located in the heart of blue ribbon fly fishing country! The Big Hole, Beaverhead, Ruby Rivers, and Jefferson offer a diversity of fishing experiences. Ask us for recommendations on fly fishing outfitters!
Our Farm
Experience a working farm
Experience the stars as you’ve never seen them before. Our views are unbeatable and your experience with us will be memorable. Bring your binoculars – you never know when you might get a glimpse of the majestic Montana wildlife! Meet the farm animals or watch for bald eagles and deer and even possibly meet our resident moose family. We are surrounded by National Forest and untamed rivers that make us the perfect location for your next adventure.
We are an active farm, so do not expect the “Ritz” or any fancy gardens. We do have free-range poultry, so do expect some animal droppings on the property. You may experience animal and/or equipment noise during your stay. You may experience our family doing chores/farm projects that sometimes happen late at night or early in the morning. We do our best to respect your privacy and rest, but sometimes noise, equipment, and lights are unavoidable.
We do offer a limited menu of farm to table products if you’d like to sample what we raise locally. Eggs, sausage, bacon, brats, beef, raw milk. Farm to table breakfast burritos – where everything is raised right here in Waterloo except the tortilla.
Although the service animal industry holds a special place in our hearts and we have even specifically bred service dogs for Puppies for Patriots in the past, we want you to know that our farm is not a good fit for your valuable animal. We have working livestock guardian dogs whose job it is to deter any strange animals from being here for the protection of our menagerie of farm animals. Our guardians are very friendly towards people but your animal would be viewed as a hostile intruder. For the safety of your animal, please don’t book our farm stay if they must be with you. We are truly sorry for this inconvenience but we want the very best for your animal as well as ours. Thank you for understanding.
